The Moorings Hotel and Restaurant is a family-run neighbourhood bistro, with rooms, on Gorey Pier in Jersey. It sits nestled below Mont Orgueil one of Jersey’s most iconic landmarks. Run by Matthew and Iselin Jones, it prides itself on its warm welcome in historic but homely surroundings.
The Moorings is a local institution, first registered as a hotel in the 1851 census.
Matthew and Iselin bring to The Moorings a breadth of experience gained from diverse careers, his spanning 30 years in hospitality and events, hers including nearly a decade in TV journalism and five years in law.
With a mutual love for good food, Scandi ‘hygge’ and most importantly people, they are passionate advocates of hospitality in the true sense of the word.
